GET INVOLVED WITH THE AOMA

The Arkansas Osteopathic Medical Association (AOMA) is pleased to offer members opportunities to become more involved in the organization, contribute to the advancement of osteopathic medicine, and help shape the future of healthcare in Arkansas. Members are invited to volunteer for one of AOMA's committees or participate in the AOMA Speakers' Bureau.

Whether your interests include strengthening membership, advocating for the osteopathic profession, or sharing your knowledge and expertise, there are meaningful ways to get involved.

Membership Committee

The AOMA Membership Committee focuses on strengthening the association through member recruitment, engagement, and retention. Committee volunteers will help identify opportunities to grow AOMA's membership, enhance member benefits, and encourage greater participation among osteopathic physicians, residents, and medical students throughout Arkansas.

Members may assist with developing recruitment strategies, identifying opportunities for member outreach, supporting membership initiatives, and providing recommendations to improve the overall membership experience.

Legislative and Advocacy Committee

The AOMA Legislative and Advocacy Committee works to advance the interests of osteopathic physicians and their patients through legislative engagement, policy development, and advocacy efforts at the state and federal levels.

Committee volunteers will help identify and evaluate legislative priorities, monitor healthcare policy developments, and provide input on issues affecting osteopathic medicine and healthcare delivery in Arkansas. Members may also participate in discussions with elected officials, support grassroots advocacy initiatives, and help strengthen relationships between the osteopathic profession and policymakers.

AOMA Speakers' Bureau

The AOMA Speakers' Bureau provides opportunities for members to share their professional expertise, clinical knowledge, and experiences with colleagues, medical students, residents, and other healthcare stakeholders.

Volunteer speakers may be invited to participate in educational conferences, continuing medical education (CME) programs, webinars, panel discussions, and other professional development activities coordinated by AOMA.

Members with expertise in clinical specialties, healthcare leadership, practice management, public health, medical education, or emerging healthcare issues are encouraged to participate.

Participation in the Speakers' Bureau allows members to contribute to professional education, promote the osteopathic approach to medicine, and support the development of future osteopathic physicians.
